Originally from Southern California, Ms. Wickland completed her undergraduate work in German and Social Ecology at the University of California, Irvine.  Ms. Wickland received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and in 1992 moved to Sonoma County.  She served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Gravenstein Union School District for ten years, from 2006 to 2017.

Ms. Wickland is a member of the Sonoma County Bar Association, Employment Law and Estate Planning Sections, and the Personnel Association of Sonoma County (PASCO).
